Chaos is powered by Athenic (‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our’). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use the Chaos app across platforms.

User-provided data

Account details (email or anonymous identifier), content you add (text, audio, images, metadata) and data from services you connect such as calendars or email. We never store third-party credentials.

Automatically collected data

Device identifiers, OS version, crash logs, usage analytics, time stamps and network diagnostics. Cookies help personalise the experience and can be controlled from your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Deliver and improve Chaos features, including AI-powered organisation and reminders.
  • Personalise recommendations, categories and notifications.
  • Monitor performance, run analytics, and research new functionality.
  • Prevent fraud and secure accounts.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

  • Service providers under confidentiality agreements for hosting, analytics, notifications and payments.
  • Legal requests when required by law, court order or government regulation.
  • Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale with notice to users.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide Chaos, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Delete your account to trigger removal or anonymisation within 30 days unless law requires retention.
